Eyepartner Sponsors Dance 4 Charity to Benefit Ronald McDonald House
December 6, 2011 Marathon, Fla. – Eyepartner is sponsoring a Dance 4 Charity event at the University of Rochester in Rochester, N.Y., to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. Eyepartner is donating a premium channel to broadcast the event on TikiLIVE (www.tikilive.com), their flagship HD broadcasting service which provides its users with a comprehensive set of tools for producing and managing live HD streaming content.
The Ronald McDonald House in Rochester, N.Y., provides a home-away-from-home for families to be near their children while they are receiving health care in Rochester area hospitals. The Dec. 9 event, broadcasted from the Strong Auditorium at the University of Rochester, will be streamed LIVE all over the country from 7 to 9:30 p.m.
Dance 4 Charity, a fundraising event hosted by Delta Upsilon at the University of Rochester, consists of 10 competitive dance teams that compete for the title of Best Dance Crew 2011. The 10 competitive dance teams include Rochester Raas, UR Bhangra, Louvre Performance Ensembler, Ballet Performance Group, KASA/Rice Crew, SALSEROS, Xclusive Step Team, Sihir Bellydance Ensemble, Celtic, and D’motions. Along with the performances, a short video of each team’s background and dance style will be shown.

“We have set up a video of the performance that will be streamed live both to the Ronald McDonald House as well as to their space in the hospital thanks to the generous donation of streaming services from TikiLIVE.com,” said Travis Amengual, Delta Upsilon’s Vice President of Academic Excellence. “This way families and children who are unable to leave the house or hospital are still able to enjoy this fantastic event on campus.”
The evening will be hosted by In Between the Lines Improv Comedy Troupe. The Midnight Ramblers Acapella will be the opening act. Following the dance performances will be a special guest exhibition performance by the Rochester School of the Arts Dance Department. Tickets are $5 in advance for students at the Common Market and $7 at the door for students and the community.
Mr. Amengual said Dance 4 Charity is a way to bring many different cultural and performance groups across campus to provide them with a venue while helping out a charity in need. Last year, the Dance 4 Charity event raised more than $1800 to the Foundation for Peace Haiti Relief Fund.
